Dad Bods Running Club Dad Bods Running Club

FAQ

Questions you might have (or not)

Do I need to be a dad to join?
Definitely not. Everyone is welcome, we just call it "Dad Bods" because we think it's funny.
What if I'm slow?
Perfect. We have all paces. No one gets left behind, and there's zero judgment. This isn't a race, it's a jog with friends.
Do I need to sign up?
Nope. Just show up at Wash Park Boathouse Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Signing up just gets you occasional updates and bad jokes via email.
Is there a cost?
It's totally free. The only cost is the running, and occasionally the emotional toll of listening to our dad jokes.
What's this about a post-run beer?
Optional but encouraged. We usually hit a nearby spot after the run. Water and high-fives also acceptable.
Why did you start DBRC?
Because we think it'll be fun. We're also newer to Denver, like to jog (at a moderate pace), and are hoping to meet some new people.

The Guys Behind the Dad Bods

Chris

Chris

Chris is a Canadian import who landed in Denver two years ago. He's married, has a one-year-old, and a Sheepadoodle named Sammy who requires more attention than most people. A proudly mediocre runner since middle school, Chris is training for two half marathons in 2026 and fully embracing the "Dad Bod" lifestyle.

Jackson

Jackson

Jackson has been in Denver for four years after relocating from San Diego. Soccer is his true passion, but running comes with the territory, so here we are. He's married with two kids and can often be found out on family walks around Wash Park. He's training for zero half marathons in 2026, but may consider a late entry just to beat Chris.
